Hey guys, sorry there's no new updates this week, but I wanted to let everyone know that I'm alive and doing well.
Boxes were moved into the house Thursday. Friday, all the furniture was delivered and I started unpacking. The first priority were everyday needs; dishes, silverware, bed sheets, clothes, etc. My family returned, much to my surprise, Friday evening and kidnapped me to get me food. It was probably a good thing they did, because I was ready to collapse. Once my mom came in and I got over the "OMG, you drove all the way down here two days in a row!?" mom asked me when I had eaten last. As soon as she said it, it dawned on me that I had gone all day without so much as drinking a glass of water. No wonder I was about ready to pass out.
(See, my mom never drives for anything, and she has now, twice, driven two hours down to come and see me. On Thursday, she drove down by herself to pick up dad, sister 4, and sister 4's boyfriend who came down in the truck/my car to help me unload the boxes. And yesterday (Friday) she drove down with sister 4 and sister 4's boyfriend again to see if I needed help moving the furniture where I wanted it. It was so nice to have a strong, teenage boy to move furniture) Anyways, where was I?
Today (Saturday) the cable guy came in the morning. While he was hooking up my TV and punching a hole in the front bedroom's wall (I had to get permission from my landlord XD) so I could turn it into my office, I finished putting away the groceries and necessities that were bought the day before. Once he was done and gone, I made a huge list of things I needed, like a telephone, and lamps (there's almost no overhead lights in this house!), and batteries for my WiiMotes, and batteries for my clocks, I ran out to Walmart. The I came back and did laundry, and decided I was going to set up my office. I had bought a desk I had to assemble myself, and when I opened it, I realized I didn't have any tools (hammer, screwdriver, etc) with which to put it together. XD So I went shopping again.
Anyhoo, this desk was supposed to be a 2 person job, and I did it myself. XD I'm so proud of me. Anyhoo, that took, like, 3 hours 'cause it came in 5 bazillion parts. Then I had to put my office chair together, and I just finished all of that about a half hour ago. Then I took some time to set up my back-up battery surge protector (it's this heavy duty thing that you can run your cable and phone line through, and has a surge protector that charges a battery that will keep my computer running for 20 minutes during a power outage so I would have time to shut it down without loosing anything I was working on). I haven't found my wireless router, but I'm 90% sure it's in the box in the kitchen marked "important crap".
*Deep breath* Wow, I could go on for hours and hours. I still have lots of boxes to unpack; I'd say I'm 25% of the way there. I need to get shelves for the 2nd bedroom's closet, so I can turn it into storage for crafts and non-electronic games. I have 2 book shelves that still need to be assembled for my massive collection of books. I'm thinking I'm going to put a chair in the office to create a reading area, though I'm still toying with finding a real piano to put in here. >.> The free one I was gonna grab while in PA was a bust 'cause I couldn't find anyone who could move it down here for less then $500.
Oh! Side note. XD I was a bad girl, and since I bought a high def. TV, I got the high-def wires for my Wii. Let me tell you: DROOL CITY. XD Makes me wish I was paying for high def cable, but basic will have to do until I find out if they bumped me up to full-time status.
Here's a scary though: between furniture, electronics, and necessities, I've spent over $12,000 in the last 2 weeks. >.> Now, $6500 of that is financed, and another $4,000 is on my credit card, but I'm not done. I still need shelves, and food, and stuff to do my hair (I used the family-owned items before...) AND...>.> I still have to finish paying for my trip to China...(Uh...XD anyone wanna buy a commission?)
SIDE STORY: It's kinda funny, but after I bought the TV, vaccume, microwave, and toaster oven all in one shot, I got a notice from my credit card company. They said they detected possible fraud and closed out my old account and issued me a new card. I called them and verified that the huge purchase was me. Though it was a hassle to have to wait to buy some more of the things I needed, it was good to know that my credit card company is on top of things. Plus, it forced me to use some cash, and though that depletes my funds some, it helped me make smarter choices.
Anyhoo, I have SO MUCH MORE to tell, but it's 11:30 now, and I still need to grab a shower before I hit the sac. If I forget, remind me to tell you guys about the water heater XD You'll love that story (ah...the hassles of moving in)
I am still going on the family vacation next week (mom says it'll be good for me to unwind from all the work so that I'm refreshed for orientation on the 17th), so there won't be an update till next weekend. Which is just as fine,

cause I can't find my sketchbook. (I know which box it's in, I can't find that box...I know it's probably at the bottom of the pile...) Plus I don't have my scanner or router hooked up yet.
*long sigh* So much to do, such little time. XD If any of you live in the DE area, drop me a note. I'll feed you well if you come over and help me unpack!
Alright, catch ya'll later!
